New Moon in Pisces – March 2019

What is a New Moon All About?

The New Moon occurs when the Sun and the Moon meet in the sky causing the Moon to go dark when viewed from the Earth. The New Moon falls between the Waning Crescent (Balsamic Moon) and the Waxing Crescent Moon phases.

The New Moon is all about new beginnings, planting the seeds for the future and making plans. This is a time for contemplation and planning rather than action. This phase encourages introspection and connecting with our deeper selves and to do this in the modern world it’s essential that we slow right now.

As we head towards the New Moon we find that our energy levels start to drop. I know I’m certainly feeling it. This dark phase we’re in now encourages slowing down, healing and soothing.

When is the March New Moon in Pisces?

I’m in the UK and the New Moon is at 16:03 on Wednesday 6th March.

What does it mean when the New Moon is in Pisces?

The Influence of Pisces

  • Sign Element: Water
  • Ruling Planet: Neptune
  • Quality: Mutable

The Moon in Pisces brings romantic feelings, a well as heightened intuition and dreamy and mystical moods.

Interests in religion, spirituality, magical things and the unknown peak at this time.

People become softer, tender and more sentimental. Join in with this by speaking kind words and give compliments to loved ones.

We tend to have deeper understanding of the hidden meaning of life, events and things, as well as more intimate perception of beauty, art, poetry and music during this time. What do you notice which you wouldn’t usually see?

It’s a perfect time to visit a theatre, museum or art exhibition, watch a good film, read favourite poetry book, going just a little deeper and tuning into things that can touch soul. Do you know what those things are?

If you choose to meditate during this time, don’t be surprised if you manage to go a little deeper.

Hi, I’m Sarah Cornforth and I'm a Creatrix of Magick.  I have never really considered myself creative or artistic as I'm too much of a perfectionist for that and I still find it hard to accept the word ‘artist’ as a title for myself. Initially creating art was a way of coping with the curveballs of life. When I draw, or paint or craft I feel calmer, my mind slows down to a pace I can cope with and life becomes easier. I also love working closely with the phases of the moon and the cycles of nature in everything I do as the benefits are huge. At the end of 2017 a dear friend nudged me in the direction of creating art to sell, and if it had been anyone else who encouraged me I would have thought they were mad. But this particular friend has a special gift. She can see the life purpose of others. So I listened and I took every piece of advice she had to give me.....and here I am, creating art, working with the Moon, teaching people how to heal through Mandala art, feeling happy and sharing what I love with the world. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
